I record myself reading out loud. I have an annoying voice, but it usually does the trick. It's funny to listen to the mess ups.

Reading out loud makes you actually process the words you’re reading. When you’re reading them out loud, you’re more likely to come across what would have been an overlooked typo because when you’re reading it in teh context of the sentence, it doesn’t work. When you’re just reading through it and not reading out loud, your brain might not process an error as such because it doesn’t see it. It’ll see ’sick’ as ’sink’ because it’s only one word off and you know what it’s supposed to read so that’s what you read when you just read over it. Your tongue will catch errors your eyes won’t.

Aside from that, I knew it! I knew it was Russ. It just made much more sense since Liseli’s been to that Mill how many times and nothing. Then the first time Russ appeared, bam! Leap.

But I would follow the story closely, with or without typos . . .

I'm sure there are typos in Fiction Murdered still lurking about.

I heard a good tip once:

The best way to catch typos is to read it out loud.

I guess because you're forced to read more slowly or something . . . not sure how it works but it helped me.
