"Since Russ wasn’t anywhere to been seen in the buildings around the Gateway, she saw no reason to linger staring at the architecture."

I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, was just too much Russ in there.

That being said, this was a really beutiful chapter! Finally Liseli and Russ together again!

I'm on the "is this really Russ?" bandwagon as well. I remember him drinking that stuff that made him glow but just the way he was acting, it didn't seem like him.

I wouldn't put it past Ricalli to leave, expect Russ to run, impersonate him when he did(he is a god after all, I'm sure he's pretty good at impersonations) and hold Liseli captive when she came as a means to get Russ to time warp with him. For me it's the strength in the hug, the blank stare and the little too much swearing for him around her to be wholly convincing that it's Russ. It almost seems like he's trying too hard to be convincing that it is him . . .

I'm probably reading too much into this, or worse one of those annoying people who look for a twist in everything . . .

But I still don't think that's really Russ because I don't recall him ever calling Liseli "honey" or "sweetie" before. I even searched just to make sure . . .

But then at the end he started to sound like Russ . . . .agh!

Hmmm.

Feeling pensive about the whole affair.

Excellent writing, I must say.
