Liseli hasn’t been able to be around Russ for any significant stretch of time since he was mauled by the dogs — she’s seeing him in a much different light now because of what has all happened.  And her own experiences during this time have been almost all bad, and demoralizing, so it’s taken some of the piss out, so to speak.
