I’m enjoying this story. One thing bugged me though — 3 tents are by necessity arranged in a triangle. I don’t know the right way to word it though. You certainly don’t want to write ‘equilateral triangle’ or some other geometric gibberish. Weird how things like that stick out to me.

I like how much you’ve told about the Alisiyans simply through the action, rather than . . . what’s the word . . . can’t find it . . . explaining it in an anthropological lecture.

I know the feeling, when people are talking around you in a different language. For me, people are usually rattling off German. My husband just starts rattling spanish right back at them, but I don’t know another language, really.
