Dream was always around, but she was like God . . . you just had to believe she existed and you never actually saw her. When things went sour with the Old Muse she decided she needed to get more involved and watch out for her "children."

But instead of telling everyone who she was she just blended in with them, and took an especial interest in the new Muse.

I think you meant "anymore" there.

It makes me kind of sad to see Muse turning away from the dual life thing instead of trying to make it work, but this really makes me more interested in Dream. I thought I recalled something about there not being a Dream before this Muse, but she's the one that created this world? Interesting . . .

Well, I’d always planned for Dreamers to be novella length. It’s actually turned out longer than I’d originally planned. But yeah.
