And then she mentions the dreaded “H” word

Just thought I’d let you know that Book 1 of Queen of Seven is just about over. There are one, maybe two, chapters left. I can’t say when Book 2 will begin, because none of it is written, and I need to figure some things out before I started slinging chapters up. I know general things about what’s going to happen and such, but lots of structure and details need to be ironed out. So while I’m writing it there won’t be regular updates. I’ll probably be doing a fair bit of headdeskig and revising and it’s better to not have to pull stuff that’s been posted.

So ayep, Queen of Seven will be going on indefinite hiatus again after Book 1 is complete.

I’m telling you this now so you’ll have to time to ~~rend your clothes~~ adjust to the idea while the last couple chapters of Book 1 are still forthcoming.

Also I haven’t forgotten about the last Queens of Airidan bonus story.

I’m thinking of trying to write some short stories to post during the Dreaded H, this will depend on how much time and/or energy they might take away from working on Book 2. But I do want to do something so the site doesn’t just sit there without any sort of updates.

I was wondering by what you meant by the H word, but I get it now. I am a patient person so I will live and check back once in a while. I think that’s 3 or so authers that I read on the H when you get there.

That’s ok I would rather you put something out that you are happy with than something just appease us.

I’m not worried about the bonus story. I loved Alisiyad but in the past however many months my attention was drawn away from Queen of Seven to Dreamers. Honestly I was more wrapped up in each weekend update for awhile there.. which leads me to my question.. Have you forgotten your Dreamers lovers? sniffle

I haven’t forgotten Dreamers. It doesn’t have a very good ending though so it will have to wait until I think of a better one.

I say take all the time you need. Your readers will still be here when you get back. Personally I’d rather see your writing live to the standard you’ve set for yourself than slack just to get work up to have some movement on the site.

And this is why I’m glad I’m still in catch-up mode (from September??? Eek!). I haven’t read any of the bonus stories yet so at least I have something to fill some time with. Plus I also need to get my copy of Alisiyad!
