Poor Liseli. When I think back about the way I treated my own parents back in the day, I don’t think I could handle it — as I definitely had my favorite parent and I think one of them felt the way Liseli did about Elly Ann.
Makes me sad. 
It was kind of inevitable. I mean, Russ . . . Liseli . . . we knew all along who would be the fun parent.
But actually with the gifts, Elly’s reacting more to the suspicion that Liseli is trying to buy her way out of showing the kind of touchy-feely affection that Elly really wants, than showing a preference for what Russ gets her.
