Well, at least as far as jerking him away goes, after that I'd probably be the one laying bleeding in the street. (Programming and lab work doesn't build as much muscle as lifting stones and building temples.) Maybe he went a bit far with that last kick, and he was acting like a bit of a dick being there in the first place.
