Out of curiosity, do you have a religion?

Ahahahahahaha!  Ahem.

And regarding church, gods, God etc:

They never met any Gods, not really, at least . . . that’s not the way I think of it.  Not with a capital g.  Yes, they were called ‘gods’ but that was just what the humans dubbed them for lack of a better term.  Like, the humans called the powerful, immortal creatures they met “gods” and made up stories about how they created the world because they came to Adayzjia and the ‘gods’ were already there and seemed pretty bitchin’.  But while Ricalli and Adayzjia et al were not human, their existence does not preclude that of an actual God.

For instance, God could exist and create all the worlds, and Jesus came to this world and Christianity is a religion of this world — and just because there are other worlds doesn’t negate what happened in this one.  So one could still, hypothetically, witness otherworlds and it doesn’t disprove anything.

All that aside, Liseli is going to church now because she never went as a kid and she thinks that it’s part of being a good, functional, healthy American family.  More for the idea that she’s being a good parent by taking her kids to church, than actual belief on her own part.  Russ is just going along to please Liseli.  There’s more on that in the rest of the Volume, but of course you’ve read all that by now, heh.

And seeing as two brilliantly developed characters weren’t enough for you, you had to spawn another. Good job.

Also: Hmm . . . Church? After actually meeting Gods, I fail to see how they can believe in a monothiestic religion.
