Hee. Yeah, I kind of saved most of the explanation for Part 2 . . . I wanted to started out with more of a real time, interactive scene than a lot of exposition. I know I have to explain some stuff eventually but I always worry about it bogging down the actual story and try to defer it till people are wondering about it.

Hmmmm I guess my nefarious plan has succeeded.

Boone? – correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Adrian Jake’s kid? And don’t Russ and Jake have the same father, the same last name? So, what’s happened? Are Jake and Kiki still together? Is Boone the Kiki’s last name? (You may have mentioned her last name, and I just don’t remember it.) Did she marry someone else and take his name? Is Jake still in their lives? I mean, Adrian still hangs out with his cousins, so if Jake and Kiki aren’t still together, that could be awkward.

Aww, Hollie is so cute! Me and my younger brother used to wrestle all the time when we were kids. It was disappointing when he got that growth spurt, and suddenly he was WAY bigger than me. It’s the ultimate revenge of the boy who’s picked on by girls— that wondrous combination of human growth hormone and testosterone transforms a skinny little boy into a muscular, tall (and hairy) man.

Love this chapter. Hollie and Ade are awesome little kids, precocious and funny. She seems like a perfect sister for Elly.

I especially like the "that's fate" line.
