EEEEK! I'm so happy it's back! My husband just gave me the strangest look, because I clapped in excitement when I saw the new post. He just doesn't understand web fiction. Oh well. But, I must admit, I'm a little disappointed in myself. I stopped checked every other day about a week before you posted this. sigh Anyway, thank you so much Sarah for coming back. It was a wonderful return.

I'm sure your readers, myself included, will be happy to assist with the first-draftness of the new book.

Hey hey, what are the haps my friends? (Sorry, just discovered DinosaurComics and that may be my new favorite phrase.)

I’m glad to see that I haven’t lost all my readers in the nearly year long hiatus.

I’m still struggling to figure out Book 2, but hopefully if I forge ahead and write it I’ll get somewhere. So expect all forthcoming chapters to be significantly more raw and first-drafty than either Alisiyad or QoS Book 1 (both of which were largely pre-written and re-written and re-re-written before starting this website). Also, I have no set updating schedule in mind. Updates will happen as I get ideas, Muse-willing. Thanks for being patient.

This has long been my favourite webserial, because of Sarah's ability to write poignant scenes with emotional resonance. I'm very excited to see you're writing again.

I was a little surprised that this chapter skimmed by those eight difficult months so quickly — the writing skill with emotions and relationships would have been put to good use showing what they were like for Elly and her family as River became more active.

However, I'm assuming you condensed that because there are some big plot developments afoot. I can't wait to see what you have in store!
